Ingredients

  • 1 lb skirt steak
  • 1/2 C soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 lime
  • 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 green onions

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl add soy sauce, olive oil, freshly minced garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, brown sugar and freshly squeezed lime juice. Whisk the ingredients together.
  2. Cut the steak into smaller 6 inch slabs.
  3. Pour the homemade marinade over the steak, rub it in making sure everything is covered. Let this sit for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the grill to 400 degrees and set for direct heat. Grill the marinated skirt steak 2 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 130 degrees
  5. Remove them off the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes.
  6. Grill the green onions for 4-5 minutes until they are soft and charred.
