Ingredients

  • 3/4 C lentils, soaked
  • 1 1/2 C water
  • 5 slices bacon (or ham or sausage), cut into chunks
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 3/4 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Combine the soaked lentils and water. Place pan on the stove top to begin heating. Add meat, onion, lentils, sugar and vinegar. Cook over medium heat for 25-30 minutes. Salt to taste.
