Beat together the eggs and sugar thoroughly. Add shortening and milk. Sift in dry ingredients. Chill dough for two hours. Roll out dough on a floured board. Punch with doughnut cutter. Deep-fat fry in 6” of oil. Flip after a minute or so. Cook until golden brown. Combine extra sugar and cinnamon. Dip one side of cooked doughnut into extra sugar and cinnamon mixture.
